Emily asks a poignant question in Our Town when she searchingly poses, "Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it?—every, every minute?" We all know the answer is no, but the question is why? Why do we humans, who for the most part desperately cling to life in its final minutes, fail to realize the beauty and wonder of life when we are alive? OUR TOWN
