When Gatsby kisses Daisy, Gatsby feels love for Daisy. At that moment, he realizes that she will be his dream forever, and no other woman will make him feel the way she does. He could never possible find someone else. He feels this way because Daisy is wealthy and sophisticated, nothing like his family and old life, which he is trying to escape. She could help him achieve the life he wishes to have.

When Gatsby kisses Daisy, he gives up his freedom and views on women. He previously viewed women as just wanting sex, but he started to fall in love with Daisy. He lost his freedom because he will always be thinking about Daisy, and his viewed on women chafed because Daisy was sophisticated and loved him.

By Gatsby kissing Daisy, he is giving up his present life. His life will now be consumed with attaining his true love, Daisy. He will do whatever it takes to make her his because she is all he wants. His "incarnation is complete," and his new life with pursuing Daisy begins.

When he kisses Daisy, Gatsby achieves self-happiness. He loves Daisy deeply, and she makes him eternally happy. This is a grand achievement, probably the greatest of his life.

In this chapter, much of Gatsby's origin is revealed. One of the key moments brought to light was his kiss with Daisy. Through this intimate scene, Gatsby gains the key to his success. He finds a true reason to obtain wealth. Gatsby no longer tries to earn money for himself. In that scene, he decides to obtain money solely to win Daisy's heart.

Gatsby feels overwhelmed when he kisses Daisy. The kiss fulfills Gatsby's love for her. He does not want to lose Daisy. He loves Daisy and nothing can destroy his desire for her.
