My research paper is about John Grisham's novel "A Painted House" and his element of secrecy. Through my research I found out that all of his novels have a secrecy element

I am writing on Franz Kafka’s "The Metamorphosis." I am writing about how the book is a reflection upon Kafka’s life. I have found that "The Metamorphosis" is basically Kafka’s autobiography in a way.

My research paper is about Frankenstein. I plan to pursue the aspect of dangerous knowledge in the book. I found an interesting thing in the book about the importance of 9 months. It took Mary 9 months to write the book, 9 months for Walton's journey, and the book takes place over 9 months.

I am researching McCarthy's meaning behind the phrase "we're carrying the fire" in the novel "The Road". I have learned that the novel actually relates back to the mythological story of Prometheus.

I am writing about the theme of Feminism in The Color Purple. Something interesting I found is that in the black female community they refer to themselves as "womanists" because feminists are too radical. Womanists understand there is more to the philosophy than sexual aspects, such as racial, cultural, and political aspects.

My research paper is on Ralph Ellison's "Invisible Man". I am focusing on the aspect of vision and identity and these elements effect the novel as a whole. I have found out that these elements are what define the nameless narrator and are what the novel is based around.

I am doing my research paper on foreshadowing in Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. Something interesting that I have learned throughout my research is that the several flashbacks that Nick tells throughout the story play a major part in the effect of foreshadowing throughout the novel.

I am doing my research paper on the essential needs of life found in "Walden" by Henry D. Thoreau. I have found out that before he went to live in the woods for his experiment he had been arrested for setting a forest on fire, a somewhat ironic twist now that he helps to care for the forest.
