A White Star

Blanche and Stella are sisters, but they present themselves very differently.  What are some ways these two women from Belle Reve contrast each other?  Explain. (NO CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN TO PLAGIARIZED ANSWERS) (The deadline to post a response to this blog is midnight, Saturday, March 16, 2013.)

In the play, sisters Stella and Blanche differ from eachother mentally and physically. One way they are opposites mentally is how Blanche is overly flirty and desperate for comments unlike Stella who is more reserved. Another mental difference between the two sisters is that Blanche is more strong-willed. Stella's husband physically abuses her and she is willingly to just let it happen unlike Blanche who immediately wants to leave the abusive situation and take her sister with her. Blanche is physically described as wearing white which makes her frail and moth-like,but at other times she is in red like passion. Stella does not have many phsical descriptions and the few given mostly point at her being more modest like when she avoids the light when changing and puts on a simple blue kimono.
